Breast Cancer Society Charities Empower Cancer Victims

The term ‘Breast cancer’ is held in fear by women all over the world more than any other form of cancer. It ranks topmost among the list of ‘God-help-me scenarios’ as it leads the woman to visualize the images of chemotherapy, following nausea, terrifying hair loss, possible surgery, mutilation that follows once diagnosed with breast cancer. The worst part for which the woman is most unprepared for is the helpless act of her powerless partner to convince her that she will still be as desirable as before and also the menacing fear that it will never be completely over.

It has therefore been seen that women contribute more to breast cancer charities, sometimes superstitiously as they feel that not supporting the cause would be much akin to tempting fate. Many charitable organizations Dandruff and hair loss are doing good work in this field and one of them is the Breast Cancer Society. Resources are raised in various forms and by different means so that the victims of this ill-fated disease get help. The money raised by these bodes has made an important contribution towards fighting against this disease.
Charities raised go to help the victims and their families in a direct manner or indirectly. Research and increasing knowledge and awareness of the disease are equally important for the eventual prevention of the disease; however, helping the affected families is also needed so that they can face up to the challenges of the disease.  Breast Cancer Society Charities help the affected women to be fully prepared to combat the deadly disease.

The different ways in which this good work is done is through direct help, education, providing supplies, and in-house care to the affected women.  Tie-ups are made by the charitable organization with service partners in needy countries who provide medical help in all forms to women who get this disease.

In-house care is essential if the patient is battling against the disease alone. Compassionate and loving care is provided by the care-givers who assist the patient in her daily living activities. This is more needed when the patient has undergone specific treatment or a surgical procedure.

Picking up the threads of one’s life after surviving through the disease is not an easy proposition. Providing educational assistance to enable the woman to achieve her financial independence is another measure adopted by the charitable organization.

Various donated items are made available to the breast cancer victims, free of charge. Clothing, wigs, hygiene products and specific items like post-mastectomy bras, prosthetic breast inserts etc are just a few of them.

Breast cancer is one of the most largely occurring diseases among the women and whatever work done towards helping the affected woman is just going to be a drop in the ocean. Hence, it is most essential for every individual at the ground level to support this cause and contribute his or her bit towards prevention of fatalities.

How Your Business Lets People Donate For Breast Cancer?

We live in an age characterized by high social responsibility. Awareness of various situations and conditions which act disabling, limiting or life-threatening is now must for each entity in the society - from individuals to large corporations.

There are many causes for various difficult situations and to tell a certain cause from others, cause societies usually standardize a design which includes a shape and a color. In case of breast cancer causes the shape is a ribbon and the color is pink.

Businesses taking part in such a cause can use the cause color in various ways. Featuring pink on item packages which are otherwise not pink would attract customers and make them think more about the message it carries. A good advice is to make Limited Edition items for the cause which would differ in its useful features - this may be a gift or larger pack of something, or a luxury packaging - and have that item cause-related colorway. Limited editions are usually issued around October, which is designated a Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The first step in making a move towards developing a cause-related product is contacting a cause-leading organization, such as the Breast Cancer society Inc. Organizations will help you familiarize more with the cause and get best effect for those in need, but also increase sales as more and more consumers would first pick a product which helps a cause. Be cautious, as some scammers will act as cause leading organizations and would actually just keep all donations for themselves, without delivering it to patients, hospitals and research institutes.

Your donation would consist of a single amount of money or commodities, and it should be stated on your products. Or you can dedicate certain stake of income from every such item sold to the cause. You can find such products on the TBCS Pink Ribbon shop and see how it works with our partners.
Products and packaging are not the only medium businesses can use to endorse a cause with its color. Advertizing campaigns and design of a company's website, billboards, TV and newspaper ads also play a significant role in implementing causes in business. The color will be the first what attracts people to more information about the cause and your related products or services.

Your employees can also be a part of the cause. Make them wear pink, or at least have a pink ribbon if the cause is for breast cancer. This way they can raise awareness among colleagues, business partners and customers.

The more cause color people see, the more they will be likely to help.
Responsible companies are more respected within the society. Do your part of breast cancer donate and make others donate with your pink products and campaigns.

Understanding The Pink Parade

Several organizations are registered as nongovernmental charity organizations, claiming to be collecting and raising funds for a noble cause, related to cancer. We often hear of about a march or some gala for solidarity with breast cancer patients, or for raising awareness about breast cancer. Many a times these so called noble organizations are nothing but sharks preying upon people who want to help the afflicted by this deadly cancer.

Reliability Question
Such societies can safely be classified as a breast cancer society scam. They are able to beguile many big companies and brands to sponsor them and campaign, which then allows them to lure not only big donors but also small donors like you and I.  We think that we a have done something good by participating in their fund raising or by donating money to their projects but little do we know where our cash is going or where our donation is going. Most of the people do not check, our busy lives actually keep us way from verifying their authenticity and save us from breast cancer society scam.

Scam Schematics
However, if you take a closer look then you will see these breast cancer society scam, are in fact duping you.  They have non-transparent accounts and have a lot of hanky panky going on, which covers up their lack of contributions to the claimed cause. Most of their funds being collected will be either be utilized under a very large expense or running cost tab, which is used to finance for the miscellaneous expenses of directors, executives and board members, and very little will actually have had been put to good use. Fabrication of bills, accounts, and fake treatment centres, are tools used by these pink parade banner men to embezzle the donated money. A lot of the breast cancer society scams are actually a onetime stint, which have been setup to target large donors in one go and then disappear with the money. Others are sly; they donate but in ways in which that doesn’t really matter, the funds allotted are used for providing useless and non-essential items or aid to breast cancer patients.

Many of these fake breast cancer society’s offer counselling to the patient and to the families afflicted by breast cancer, or they refer them to a counsellor. The fees that one has to pay for these sessions are surprising. The loans often doled out by these societies are obnoxious as sooner or later they have to be paid, they are called soft loans, but the interest still does amount to a lot, as cancer treatment is not cheap.

Last man standing
In contrast there are societies like the Breast Cancer Society, where transparency, authenticity, and reliability are the main aim. They do not exceed the two percent cap, on running expenses, they have established, and the rest of the entire fund is allocated to effective and useful contributions. These contributions are made to researches, institutes, hospitals, clinics, and other cancer treatment centres. Direct contributions are made to women suffering from breast cancer and their family. It is a very versatile program and has been dubbed as one of the best organization.

TBCS - Materializing Possibilities of a Genuine Cure

One should be mindful of the fact that only the genuine cure can bring long lasting health. Breast cancer is one of those diseases which demands on time diagnosis, care, genuine cure and adequate treatment and time. The health of patient becomes worst in case if you rely on fake or sham resources for the breast cancer treatment. This practice not only wastes your time and money but it also takes life of the important member of your family.

Breast cancer- a disease or a social taboo?

The fatality rate of breast cancer ranked second among other malignancies. The main cause is the lack of awareness, education and research. In many communities it is considered as a social taboo and sign of embarrassment instead of taking as a wide spread disease. Many people even after feeling the unusual symptoms and signs in their body do not discuss it openly because they feel shame and embarrassment in society. This attitude should highly be discouraged. This non-sense attitude and thinking had been taken a lot of valuable lives of females. For this purpose there is an imperative need to address such issues and spreading the awareness and education about breast cancer, its bad consequences and the ways of ultimate treatment. This can save thousands of lives on this earth.

A realistic approach

The breast cancer society is working from many years for the noble cause of saving humanity. TBCS shows a real and practical feminine sympathy across the globe. TBCS is non-governmental  charity, which is not only collect donations for encouraging education and research but also providing temporary financial aid to the breast cancer sufferers to be used for their mammogram, treatment or even for their household purposes. The breast cancer society does not use even a single penny on its management purpose. All of the donations and funds are used for research, technology and awareness of the breast cancer. The experts guide the patients in right direction so that they can take genuine and adequate treatment from right place.

Encouraging the breast cancer awareness

The main aim of the breast cancer society is to make people aware about the painful and awful impacts of breast cancer. For this purpose TBCS organizes various events for addressing people about breast cancer in different communities. How Can You Make Charitable Giving a Family Tradition?

As parents, we all want to share values, morals, and traditions that are important to us with our children. It's important, first, to remember that not all giving can be measured in dollars and cents. Giving your time is just as important for many organizations. These are just a few ways you can take ordinary charitable contributions and turn them into family traditions, not to mention beautiful memories.

Select a Cause as a Family

It's important to choose a cause the entire family can get behind. While children's causes often tug at the heartstrings, they're a little tough for most children to wrap their minds around. The Breast Cancer Society is a great option because it's about an issue that touches so many lives in ever racial, religious, and socio-economic group. It's also a cause that men, women, and children can get behind because we all have mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and daughters who are vulnerable to this disease.

Volunteer Your Time Before Your Money

Money is great. But it's a one-time gift that the family doesn't get to see in action. Volunteering your time, on the other hand, places you in a prime position to see your gifts in action. You'll actually get to see the lives that are impacted by your gifts and that can be its very own reward. Nothing reinforces a valuable lesson in quite the same way that seeing it in action does. If you want to teach your children the rewards of giving, this is your best course of action, by far.

Make it an Adventure

If you really want to drive the lesson home, make it a lesson that's fun to learn. When it comes to lifelong charitable giving and starting good habits young, your children aren't going to get excited by washing pans in a soup kitchen all day. It's just not going to get the reaction you want. Consider hosting a fundraising event if you really want to get them on board and excited about their role.

Choose a theme. Fun, family-friendly themes include things like Oscar night, circus night, mini golf, or amusement themes. Many of these places will allow you to rent them out for the evening and may even provide discounts for charitable causes.

If your cause is one like The Breast Cancer Society, consider offering a fashion show with modesty-inspired clothing appropriate for women who may have had breast cancer. It can benefit women who are currently going through treatment by raising funds as well as those who have been through treatment by helping them find elegant clothes they can truly be comfortable wearing after the fact.

The key is to get everyone on board and make it as fun for all as possible. And these are great ways to accomplish that goal while instilling values about charity and giving that will last a lifetime. The younger your children are when you begin teaching them about the importance of giving, the stronger those values will be as your children grow into responsible giving adults.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Three Ways to Make it Meaningful for Your Family
It's one thing to know October is breast cancer awareness month. You see it on the television as all the football players in the NFL are sporting their sensitivity with everything from pink towels and armbands to bright pink socks and shoes. You see it on store shelves as everything you normally buy for your home has suddenly turned a paler shade of pink. While you and your family want to do your part to contribute to the cause, decking your entire house out in Pepto pink might not be the palatable choice. There are things you can do that are much more meaningful, here and now, to women who are suffering from breast cancer. These ideas will help your family make October much more meaningful.

Visit Breast Cancer Patients in Local Hospitals
Bring flowers if you wish. But, bring your smiles and positive attitudes more than anything else. Bring books to read, songs to sing, and attitudes that celebrate life. Women suffering from breast cancer may be down, but they are fighters who are far from out. Your presence, your smiling face and positive attitude means more to them than you or your family willever know -- at least that is our sincerest hope. Contact the hospital and ask if there are times, or days that are best for your family to do this and if you need to follow any protocols, for the sake of the health of cancer patients.

Volunteer to Host a Family Event or Fundraisers

Events and fundraisers are vital for organizations like the Breast Cancer Society to operate. They not only bring in much needed funds to help us continue our good works, but also to raise awareness in the community that breast cancer has not yet been beat. The fight is still on. The more we do to get the word out through community events, family-friend fundraisers, and public relations campaigns, the better. We need all the help we can get and your family is uniquely positioned to help us reach even more people to share information with them about this worthy cause.

Spend Time Sorting and Distributing Supplies to Recipients

Breast cancer is an indiscriminant disease. It impacts people from every racial, social, and economic group. Many families find themselves in dire financial straits once the bills for treatment begin to roll in -- long before they enter a state of remission. Small things like prosthetic devices, wigs, and even shampoo and soap, suddenly become luxuries that are difficult to afford. Unfortunately, it's these items that are so necessary to help women keep their spirits up. Sorting and delivering these small gifts is a small task that means so much to the women on the receiving end.

You don't have to go over the top to get your family involved in breast cancer awareness in a really big way. Any of the roles above are excellent choices for making a big difference in the lives of women across the USA.

Fighting Breast Cancer, Saving Lives

Breast Cancer is one of those diseases that has a greater than usual social stigma attached to it since it is concerned directly with the femininity of the fairer sex. Women, upon discovering something unusual with their body or finding an incidental lump or swelling in the breast, might be hesitant to go and consult the doctor, which ultimately could lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment, thereby driving up the morbidity associated with Breast Cancer.

What is the Breast Cancer Society?

The Breast Cancer Society is one of those cancer support group that is acting to change all that. The basic purpose of any society or support group is to help the individual who’s just been diagnosed with cancer to come to terms with their disease and realize that it is not in fact a death sentence but just a word. Cancer is treatable, and even though there is not a specific cure for every kind of cancer, today a person with cancer can expect to live their lives much more normally than twenty years ago.

The need for awareness

There is however, much need to spread awareness among the society at large about the effects of cancer, how they begin in the first place, and what you can do to prevent them up to a certain limit, beyond which man really has no control over. Specifically for Breast cancer, early detection is perhaps the best tool in the hands of health care workers right now, since it has been shown to bring down the morbidity rate significantly, with up to 90 percent of cases diagnosed within the early stages having a very good survival rate.

Early diagnosis is your best bet.

One of the most important steps towards an early diagnosis is the screening process for Breast Cancer. This can be either in the form of breast self-exams that are recommended for women of all ages and should be carried out as part of a general routine every once in a while to detect any apparent abnormality. The other way is to get a mammogram which is an imaging technique developed to get the fine details of the internal structure of the Breast and detect any budding disease process. Mammograms are generally only required if there already exists some suspicion of cancer or if there is some strong factor that places the individual in the high risk group for getting cancer. Women over the age of fifty are now advised to get a mammogram once a year.

Our Mission

The Breast Cancer Society is one of the premiere cancer support groups that is lending a voice to thousands of women worldwide who have become associated with this disease and have fought or are still fighting the battle against cancer. The group has many programs and initiatives in place that are directed towards assisting these brave women in this difficult time, by providing them support both financially and emotionally, and bringing them together as a group to spread the love and care that they need to get through the threat of cancer and return to living their lives as normally as possible.
