Understanding The Pink Parade

Several organizations are registered as nongovernmental charity organizations, claiming to be collecting and raising funds for a noble cause, related to cancer. We often hear of about a march or some gala for solidarity with breast cancer patients, or for raising awareness about breast cancer. Many a times these so called noble organizations are nothing but sharks preying upon people who want to help the afflicted by this deadly cancer.

Reliability Question
Such societies can safely be classified as a breast cancer society scam. They are able to beguile many big companies and brands to sponsor them and campaign, which then allows them to lure not only big donors but also small donors like you and I.  We think that we a have done something good by participating in their fund raising or by donating money to their projects but little do we know where our cash is going or where our donation is going. Most of the people do not check, our busy lives actually keep us way from verifying their authenticity and save us from breast cancer society scam.

Scam Schematics
However, if you take a closer look then you will see these breast cancer society scam, are in fact duping you.  They have non-transparent accounts and have a lot of hanky panky going on, which covers up their lack of contributions to the claimed cause. Most of their funds being collected will be either be utilized under a very large expense or running cost tab, which is used to finance for the miscellaneous expenses of directors, executives and board members, and very little will actually have had been put to good use. Fabrication of bills, accounts, and fake treatment centres, are tools used by these pink parade banner men to embezzle the donated money. A lot of the breast cancer society scams are actually a onetime stint, which have been setup to target large donors in one go and then disappear with the money. Others are sly; they donate but in ways in which that doesn’t really matter, the funds allotted are used for providing useless and non-essential items or aid to breast cancer patients.

Many of these fake breast cancer society’s offer counselling to the patient and to the families afflicted by breast cancer, or they refer them to a counsellor. The fees that one has to pay for these sessions are surprising. The loans often doled out by these societies are obnoxious as sooner or later they have to be paid, they are called soft loans, but the interest still does amount to a lot, as cancer treatment is not cheap.

Last man standing
In contrast there are societies like the Breast Cancer Society, where transparency, authenticity, and reliability are the main aim. They do not exceed the two percent cap, on running expenses, they have established, and the rest of the entire fund is allocated to effective and useful contributions. These contributions are made to researches, institutes, hospitals, clinics, and other cancer treatment centres. Direct contributions are made to women suffering from breast cancer and their family. It is a very versatile program and has been dubbed as one of the best organization.

TBCS - Materializing Possibilities of a Genuine Cure

One should be mindful of the fact that only the genuine cure can bring long lasting health. Breast cancer is one of those diseases which demands on time diagnosis, care, genuine cure and adequate treatment and time. The health of patient becomes worst in case if you rely on fake or sham resources for the breast cancer treatment. This practice not only wastes your time and money but it also takes life of the important member of your family.

Breast cancer- a disease or a social taboo?

The fatality rate of breast cancer ranked second among other malignancies. The main cause is the lack of awareness, education and research. In many communities it is considered as a social taboo and sign of embarrassment instead of taking as a wide spread disease. Many people even after feeling the unusual symptoms and signs in their body do not discuss it openly because they feel shame and embarrassment in society. This attitude should highly be discouraged. This non-sense attitude and thinking had been taken a lot of valuable lives of females. For this purpose there is an imperative need to address such issues and spreading the awareness and education about breast cancer, its bad consequences and the ways of ultimate treatment. This can save thousands of lives on this earth.

A realistic approach

The breast cancer society is working from many years for the noble cause of saving humanity. TBCS shows a real and practical feminine sympathy across the globe. TBCS is non-governmental  charity, which is not only collect donations for encouraging education and research but also providing temporary financial aid to the breast cancer sufferers to be used for their mammogram, treatment or even for their household purposes. The breast cancer society does not use even a single penny on its management purpose. All of the donations and funds are used for research, technology and awareness of the breast cancer. The experts guide the patients in right direction so that they can take genuine and adequate treatment from right place.

Encouraging the breast cancer awareness

The main aim of the breast cancer society is to make people aware about the painful and awful impacts of breast cancer. For this purpose TBCS organizes various events for addressing people about breast cancer in different communities. Similarly, TBCS welcomes you to get involve with it in many activities for the same purpose. Voluntarily people of different age groups join hands with TBCS for spreading awareness.

Hope scholarship and purpose

This special program is meant to make future of breast cancer sufferer’s children bright. There are some families in which only mother diagnosed with breast cancer is only earner. Obviously, surplus amount of money is used on treatment of breast cancer. In this case TBCS provides cash as educational scholarship for the children of the breast cancer patient.

Shop with us

Famous multinational brands are supports TBCS in their mission of eradicating breast cancer. On the official website various products festooned with pink tags, colors, signs etc are available that show the sympathy with females diagnosed with breast cancer. The dollars collected on purchase of each product become fund for TBCS. Many people shop there different items and then gift them to their beloved ones who are facing the worst days of their life.

How Can You Make Charitable Giving a Family Tradition?

As parents, we all want to share values, morals, and traditions that are important to us with our children. It's important, first, to remember that not all giving can be measured in dollars and cents. Giving your time is just as important for many organizations. These are just a few ways you can take ordinary charitable contributions and turn them into family traditions, not to mention beautiful memories.

Select a Cause as a Family

It's important to choose a cause the entire family can get behind. While children's causes often tug at the heartstrings, they're a little tough for most children to wrap their minds around. The Breast Cancer Society is a great option because it's about an issue that touches so many lives in ever racial, religious, and socio-economic group. It's also a cause that men, women, and children can get behind because we all have mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and daughters who are vulnerable to this disease.

Volunteer Your Time Before Your Money

Money is great. But it's a one-time gift that the family doesn't get to see in action. Volunteering your time, on the other hand, places you in a prime position to see your gifts in action. You'll actually get to see the lives that are impacted by your gifts and that can be its very own reward. Nothing reinforces a valuable lesson in quite the same way that seeing it in action does. If you want to teach your children the rewards of giving, this is your best course of action, by far.

Make it an Adventure

If you really want to drive the lesson home, make it a lesson that's fun to learn. When it comes to lifelong charitable giving and starting good habits young, your children aren't going to get excited by washing pans in a soup kitchen all day. It's just not going to get the reaction you want. Consider hosting a fundraising event if you really want to get them on board and excited about their role.

Choose a theme. Fun, family-friendly themes include things like Oscar night, circus night, mini golf, or amusement themes. Many of these places will allow you to rent them out for the evening and may even provide discounts for charitable causes.

If your cause is one like The Breast Cancer Society, consider offering a fashion show with modesty-inspired clothing appropriate for women who may have had breast cancer. It can benefit women who are currently going through treatment by raising funds as well as those who have been through treatment by helping them find elegant clothes they can truly be comfortable wearing after the fact.

The key is to get everyone on board and make it as fun for all as possible. And these are great ways to accomplish that goal while instilling values about charity and giving that will last a lifetime. The younger your children are when you begin teaching them about the importance of giving, the stronger those values will be as your children grow into responsible giving adults.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Three Ways to Make it Meaningful for Your Family
It's one thing to know October is breast cancer awareness month. You see it on the television as all the football players in the NFL are sporting their sensitivity with everything from pink towels and armbands to bright pink socks and shoes. You see it on store shelves as everything you normally buy for your home has suddenly turned a paler shade of pink. While you and your family want to do your part to contribute to the cause, decking your entire house out in Pepto pink might not be the palatable choice. There are things you can do that are much more meaningful, here and now, to women who are suffering from breast cancer. These ideas will help your family make October much more meaningful.

Visit Breast Cancer Patients in Local Hospitals
Bring flowers if you wish. But, bring your smiles and positive attitudes more than anything else. Bring books to read, songs to sing, and attitudes that celebrate life. Women suffering from breast cancer may be down, but they are fighters who are far from out. Your presence, your smiling face and positive attitude means more to them than you or your family willever know -- at least that is our sincerest hope. Contact the hospital and ask if there are times, or days that are best for your family to do this and if you need to follow any protocols, for the sake of the health of cancer patients.

Volunteer to Host a Family Event or Fundraisers

Events and fundraisers are vital for organizations like the Breast Cancer Society to operate. They not only bring in much needed funds to help us continue our good works, but also to raise awareness in the community that breast cancer has not yet been beat. The fight is still on. The more we do to get the word out through community events, family-friend fundraisers, and public relations campaigns, the better. We need all the help we can get and your family is uniquely positioned to help us reach even more people to share information with them about this worthy cause.

Spend Time Sorting and Distributing Supplies to Recipients

Breast cancer is an indiscriminant disease. It impacts people from every racial, social, and economic group. Many families find themselves in dire financial straits once the bills for treatment begin to roll in -- long before they enter a state of remission. Small things like prosthetic devices, wigs, and even shampoo and soap, suddenly become luxuries that are difficult to afford. Unfortunately, it's these items that are so necessary to help women keep their spirits up. Sorting and delivering these small gifts is a small task that means so much to the women on the receiving end.

You don't have to go over the top to get your family involved in breast cancer awareness in a really big way. Any of the roles above are excellent choices for making a big difference in the lives of women across the USA.

Fighting Breast Cancer, Saving Lives

Breast Cancer is one of those diseases that has a greater than usual social stigma attached to it since it is concerned directly with the femininity of the fairer sex. Women, upon discovering something unusual with their body or finding an incidental lump or swelling in the breast, might be hesitant to go and consult the doctor, which ultimately could lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment, thereby driving up the morbidity associated with Breast Cancer.

What is the Breast Cancer Society?

The Breast Cancer Society is one of those cancer support group that is acting to change all that. The basic purpose of any society or support group is to help the individual who’s just been diagnosed with cancer to come to terms with their disease and realize that it is not in fact a death sentence but just a word. Cancer is treatable, and even though there is not a specific cure for every kind of cancer, today a person with cancer can expect to live their lives much more normally than twenty years ago.

The need for awareness

There is however, much need to spread awareness among the society at large about the effects of cancer, how they begin in the first place, and what you can do to prevent them up to a certain limit, beyond which man really has no control over. Specifically for Breast cancer, early detection is perhaps the best tool in the hands of health care workers right now, since it has been shown to bring down the morbidity rate significantly, with up to 90 percent of cases diagnosed within the early stages having a very good survival rate.

Early diagnosis is your best bet.

One of the most important steps towards an early diagnosis is the screening process for Breast Cancer. This can be either in the form of breast self-exams that are recommended for women of all ages and should be carried out as part of a general routine every once in a while to detect any apparent abnormality. The other way is to get a mammogram which is an imaging technique developed to get the fine details of the internal structure of the Breast and detect any budding disease process. Mammograms are generally only required if there already exists some suspicion of cancer or if there is some strong factor that places the individual in the high risk group for getting cancer. Women over the age of fifty are now advised to get a mammogram once a year.

Our Mission

The Breast Cancer Society is one of the premiere cancer support groups that is lending a voice to thousands of women worldwide who have become associated with this disease and have fought or are still fighting the battle against cancer. The group has many programs and initiatives in place that are directed towards assisting these brave women in this difficult time, by providing them support both financially and emotionally, and bringing them together as a group to spread the love and care that they need to get through the threat of cancer and return to living their lives as normally as possible.

The Breast Cancer Society - the helping hand you need

There are over 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the United States alone, all thanks to the support of tenaciously hard-working organizations such as The Breast Cancer Society (TBCS). Over the past few years, it has been noticed that breast cancer is emerging as a major disease, but an early diagnosis and proper treatment can result in an effective cure. TBCS, an Arizona based organization, has made its sole purpose to provide support to breast cancer victims.

TBCS has its headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, but its centers are spread all over the United States. As a matter of fact, TBCS has taken advantage of it massive popularity to extend their operations abroad. Currently, TBCS is operating across the globe with their programs and centers present in most countries. TBCS has acquired its fame from its programs, which are directed towards helping breast cancer victims and their families. Due to TBCS’ crystal clear operations the organization also enjoys massive support, which has resulted in hugely successful volunteer program.

Monetary Support for Breast Cancer Victims
Many breast cancer victims are unable to pay for their treatment or are left with little money to run their daily affairs. TBCS provides such victims with monetary support through their program Temporary Cash Assistance. This program helps breast cancer victims throughout their battle with cancer and even after, till the patient is back on his feet and ready to support themselves.

Have faith in Hope Supply Program
Hope Supply Program is one the strongest initiatives of TBCS. In simple words Hope Supply Program’s main objective is to provide breast cancer victims with accessories, clothes and medical care products. Hope Supply program also provides prosthetics, special bras and wigs to breast cancer patients. Since the cost of breast cancer treatment is very high, Hope Supply program makes sure that breast cancer victims under its wings are provided as much help as possible.

A helping hand from Home Care Program
TBCS has noticed that many breast cancer victims are unable to care for themselves because of poor health. In some cases families are uneducated about the ways of helping breast cancer patients or are out on a limb because of supporting their homes or jobs. In such cases TBCS helps such breast cancer victims and families through its In Home Care Program. The most impressive thing about this program is that due the strong structure and support TBCS enjoys, many volunteers come out to provide professional help to breast cancer patients.

Spread help to the corner of the Earth
TBCS has taken strong steps to strengthen its facilities and programs abroad. The leading program TBCS has on this front is International Medical Aid. This an umbrella-program for a couple of projects such as raising breast cancer awareness, providing medical care to breast cancer victims, helping through monetary procedures, leading joint-operations with established and well-reputed local organizations. International Medical Aid has spread its roots into many countries and continues to do so with its programs on a daily basis.

Scholarships for the Deserved
Education is very important for structuring and stabilizing lives. Realizing the importance of education, TBCS has launched two extremely successful scholarship programs, Hope Scholarship Fund and Empower One Scholarship Fund. Hope Scholarship Fund provides families of breast cancer victims with scholarship programs. On the other hand, Empower One Scholarship Fund helps breast cancer victims study and get high-level education degrees.

Fighting for What’s Right TBCS

The Breast Cancer Society is one of the premiere organizations that are fighting for the betterment and welfare of women suffering from breast cancer, helping them to stand on their own two feet and strive to make a better future for themselves surviving the fight against breast cancer.

Directly helping Breast Cancer Patients

What the Breast Cancer Society has to offer is more than your average cancer support group. While the rest merely focus on gathering funds for research and education going into cancer treatment, the Breast Cancer Society serves to actively contribute to the lives of individuals who have been directly affected by this affliction. And it does this through its many programs and initiatives that have gained popularity all over the states for being the real voice of breast cancer support groups.

The Hope Supply Program

The Hope Supply Program is one of the ways through which the society is helping these women get their lives back on track and cope with the stresses of cancer. What it does is to contact major retailers and manufacturers of everyday things, household products, clothing and other accessories, and asks them to donate their items  that are overstocked or in excess and then provides these items to the people undergoing treatment, so as to lessen some of the load that comes from managing and paying for cancer treatment. Supplies, support and sister hood is their motto and they strive to deliver exactly that.
The Breast Cancer Society also has certain programs that aim to provide financial assistance and funds for people undergoing treatment, and even helps you procure educational loans or job referrals for yourself or your kids, who have also most likely been directly affected by your situation.

Raising your voice for Breast Cancer

The Breast Cancer Society aims to provide a platform for women across the world suffering at  the hand of this challenging disease by inviting them to get together and contribute and share their experiences so others who are about to undergo the same process can learn from it. These support groups are also very important in terms of being a sort of lone beacon of light in a journey full of darkness and uncertainty, as the diagnosis of cancer is still one that carries a lot of stigma around it which can be difficult to cope with entirely on one’s own.

How you can help fight Breast Cancer

You can help raise your voice for breast cancer awareness and fight alongside these brave women by joining the Breast Cancer Society and helping to raise funds for the work it does, either by organizing your own event or helping in the ones already taking place like some charity walks and drives, the initiatives for donating your car or boat, or just simply giving your time to listen to the experiences of these  heroes fighting for their lives, and support them emotionally through the harrowing journey of Breast Cancer.

Helping You Help the World

The Breast cancer Society – Helping You Help the World
With the growing need of creating awareness about breast cancer, we also see something else growing just as fast. There are so many non-profit or charitable organizations, social groups, societies and clubs of the same sort that have surfaced during the last few decades to help breast cancer patients. There is such a rapid and blinding storm of such examples out there that you end up confused as to which one to choose.

Just because some of such organizations have managed to make their name famous, or appear in almost every activity related to breast cancer, or breast cancer awareness campaigns, doesn’t qualify them as authentic.

Leading From the Front

The breast cancer society is one of the most authentic and transparent organizations working in the field of breast cancer. You can find rows and rows of names of women affected by breast cancer, who have sought help from the breast cancer society, or has helped the breast cancer society in one way or the other.

You do not need to worry about any scam hidden behind the programs. You can be a part of it at any point of time, in any way you want to contribute to the betterment of the women who are not as privileged as you are.

TBCS makes sure that the women affected by breast cancer receive the immediate help that they need, instead of long term plans and funded researches that may or may not turn out ground breaking. TBCS believes in the immediate help that the patients need, in any part of the world where it can reach out to.

How can you help!

The breast cancer society provides you the platform where you can not only help others in the form of donations, that are used in the treatments of women suffering from breast cancer all around the world, but you can also help them by working for the society. There are still a large number of women who are completely unaware of the symptoms of breast cancer and go on living with it without realising, till it’s too late. Creating awareness about breast cancer is also one of the vital steps in helping the breast cancer patients and the breast cancer society provides you the right stage to do that.

There are many hospitals that are affiliated with the breast cancer society that provide it a direction in giving the right help to the right people in right time, in the form of financial help in the treatment; surgical procedures that are often very expensive or medicines that they need.

Even if you are a patient or have been one, have seen the effects and have experienced the nitty-gritty’s of breast cancer treatment, you can help others by being an inspiration and a source of guidance for them. Just by talking to women affected by breast cancer can prove to be very helpful in helping cure breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness: Falsified Claims

You must have seen a breast cancer patient in your life as it is a prevalent disease of this era and most of the people are aware of its after effects. Breast cancer patients need to buck up their confidence and determination to fight with the deadly disease and at the same time these patients require lots of care, excellent treatment facilities and top quality medical for their better recovery.

The Breast Cancer Society has been providing all these services on a very large scale and their major aim is to help those people who are suffering from this miserable disease. There are only a few legitimate philanthropic organizations who work hard for saving the humanity and helping them in each possible way.

The Breast Cancer Society is one of those organizations which hold an eminent position due to its services for the well being of breast cancer patients. In home care program of TBCS has been doing a great job by providing care for the patients and for family members as well. The surgical procedures of breast cancer demand extra care of patient afterwards. Most of the time family members do this job selflessly and if a patient is alone then he or she suffers from carelessness and loss of proper treatment. The Breast Cancer Society will never let those patients endure pain and helplessness because its outstanding service of in home care program will cater needs.

Similarly TBCS understands that money can become a great hurdle for many patients which belong to less privileged class of the society. To overcome these financial calamities, the Breast Cancer Society runs financial aid programs. It relieves you from all the tensions of saving money for your treatment and is one of the most appreciated philanthropic acts by the society. Breast cancer awareness has also been a prime objective of this society because awareness can bring real change and make people aware about the consequences of this disease.

At the same time many farce awareness program take financial benefits by using the name of this noble cause of breast cancer awareness. These scammers know how to play with your emotions and to indulge you in activities which apparently looks like a cause to prevent this deadly disease. The reality is opposite for most of the times because these scam institutes offer you to buy their low quality products because they claim that the money will for a charity of breast cancer awareness.

You need to be watchful of these frauds because if you participate in these fake events then in one way you are actually supporting the scamming mafia. It’s easy to identify that whether the cause you are supporting is a legitimate one or a scam. You can ask them about their credentials and past activities for preventing breast cancer. Also look for the charity for which you are purchasing different products. A charity will good repute is always better than an unknown society because these mysterious organizations are mostly scams.

The most rapidly increasing menace

There is an alarming increase in the number of women being diagnosed with breast cancer every year. We are nowhere close to a complete comprehensive cure. Fear not, as there are treatments available which are successful to a large extent. Along with the treatments, there are also breast cancer treatment and prevention schemes to help the ones suffering from this terrible disease.

The breast cancer industry is a six billion dollar enterprise. Of course that is just peanuts to fight this terrible disease. However this gold mine has lured in several treasure hunters who prey on hapless people and beguile them in the name of a good cause.  Donors and philanthropists are often left wondering about how their money is being spent. Whether their money is being utilised effectively? We often hear stories about people being swindled by such charity organizations.

You can relax now as, as you can rely on the Breast Cancer Society (TBCS). An institutionally recognized and accredited organization has been working diligently with breast cancer patients. Rest assured, the Breast Cancer Society is no ponzi scheme, it is an organization, which has been doing good work for a very long time and has a prestigious history. Unlike the scam organizations TBCS is open and transparent.  It is open to external audit and its donors can verify to whom their money is being provided and how it’s being spent.  TBCS works with well reputed health care providers and hospitals. There are no unrecognized hospitals and shady health care providers.

The Breast Cancer Society considers it a privileged to provide this honourable service to society. Therefore it takes the utmost care in utilizing the funds. TBCS plans appropriately and wisely, therefore it is able to help out people affected by cancer in a useful way. It has dedicated every penny of funding for finding causes of breast cancer, for better treatment facilities, and for comprehensive and complete cure. TBCS has worked extensively with research organizations to figure out a better way for prevention and detection of breast cancer.

TBCS and other such societies are at the helm of every ground breaking discovery that helps making lives of cancer patients better.  The Breast Cancer Society is an organization that is not solely dedicated to fund raising and awareness campaigns. If you are suffering from breast cancer it can help you too.  TBCS will help you explore all the options available for you. It will help you select the treatment you need.

In 2011 alone, there were over fifty seven thousand cases of breast cancer.  This year even more are expected. It’s on us to help them. They may not need our monitory support but what they need is our time and concern. So help them by researching upon breast cancer societies and avoiding scams. Help them by donating to charities that spend your money in the best possible way. Help them by saying no to the scavengers who are reaping millions from the pink ribbon campaign. Make sure that the deserving get the support they need.

TBCS - A Humanitarian Chapter of Laudable Successes

Successes are great when dealing with breast cancer. We'd like every breast cancer story to be a success story. At The Breast CancerSociety, we've made it or mission to aid women going through this painful period in their lives. Our goal is to make the process as painless and survivable as possible.
What Sets The Breast Cancer Society Apart from Other Organization?
While there are many organizations, societies, and groups dedicated to eradicating breast cancer, a noble cause to be sure, our goals are more immediate. We prefer to focus our efforts on helping women who are suffering from breast cancer now.
It's a more direct and hands-on approach than some of the other organizations offer, but one we feel comfortable providing. We like to roll up our sleeves and get busy helping women get through the best and the worst breast cancer can throw at them.
Instead of funding research, we work to deliver direct benefits to breast cancer patients in the form of toiletries, money, and in-home caregivers (non-medical). We also provide medicine and medical supplies in the U.S. and abroad.
We believe breast cancer patients have enough important things on their minds that any help they receive, now, helps take a little bit of the pressure off. It allows them to focus on their treatment and recovery rather than focusing on how they're going to pay for their medicine, pick up groceries after a treatment, or even take care of a few light housekeeping duties for the sake of the family. Simply taking care of little things sometimes makes the biggest difference.
We also provide scholarship opportunities to help fund the education of breast cancer survivors as well as the children of women who are fighting breast cancer.
Where Does the Money Go?
Unlike some charity organizations, we only spend two percent of our revenue on administrative needs. The remaining 98 percent goes directly to the women our organization serves. More importantly, we're always looking for new ways to reduce those overhead costs so that even more money can get out into the community. We understand the trust it takes for people to give their money to causes such as this. The news is constantly filled with stories about one scam or another. We are honored by the trust people place in us to help care for their mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends.
We keep diligent records and account for every penny. This helps us know that we've done everything within our power to help the women of our community while also serving as a signal to others who may be concerned about how we utilize the gifts they've given us in order to help support our noble cause.
Giving the gift of good health is a huge reward. Anyone who has had the benefit of offering this gift is truly blessed - for you get so much more from giving, in this instance, than receiving. We invite you to join The Breast Cancer Society in the cause of helping women around the world so that you, too, can share in our many future successes.
