TBCS - A Humanitarian Chapter of Laudable Successes

Successes are great when dealing with breast cancer. We'd like every breast cancer story to be a success story. At The Breast CancerSociety, we've made it or mission to aid women going through this painful period in their lives. Our goal is to make the process as painless and survivable as possible.
What Sets The Breast Cancer Society Apart from Other Organization?
While there are many organizations, societies, and groups dedicated to eradicating breast cancer, a noble cause to be sure, our goals are more immediate. We prefer to focus our efforts on helping women who are suffering from breast cancer now.
It's a more direct and hands-on approach than some of the other organizations offer, but one we feel comfortable providing. We like to roll up our sleeves and get busy helping women get through the best and the worst breast cancer can throw at them.
Instead of funding research, we work to deliver direct benefits to breast cancer patients in the form of toiletries, money, and in-home caregivers (non-medical). We also provide medicine and medical supplies in the U.S. and abroad.
We believe breast cancer patients have enough important things on their minds that any help they receive, now, helps take a little bit of the pressure off. It allows them to focus on their treatment and recovery rather than focusing on how they're going to pay for their medicine, pick up groceries after a treatment, or even take care of a few light housekeeping duties for the sake of the family. Simply taking care of little things sometimes makes the biggest difference.
We also provide scholarship opportunities to help fund the education of breast cancer survivors as well as the children of women who are fighting breast cancer.
Where Does the Money Go?
Unlike some charity organizations, we only spend two percent of our revenue on administrative needs. The remaining 98 percent goes directly to the women our organization serves. More importantly, we're always looking for new ways to reduce those overhead costs so that even more money can get out into the community. We understand the trust it takes for people to give their money to causes such as this. The news is constantly filled with stories about one scam or another. We are honored by the trust people place in us to help care for their mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends.
We keep diligent records and account for every penny. This helps us know that we've done everything within our power to help the women of our community while also serving as a signal to others who may be concerned about how we utilize the gifts they've given us in order to help support our noble cause.
Giving the gift of good health is a huge reward. Anyone who has had the benefit of offering this gift is truly blessed - for you get so much more from giving, in this instance, than receiving. We invite you to join The Breast Cancer Society in the cause of helping women around the world so that you, too, can share in our many future successes.
